What We are All About
The University of Birmingham Investment Society was founded in 2006. After achieving status as the largest society on campus last year, we are excited to continue growing and providing an inclusive community for all. Hosting new activities both online and in-person, including Investing 101 and Careers 101 sessions, we aim to share our passion and enthusiasm for everything Investment related to as many students as possible.
Our society is available to join for EVERYONE regardless of investment intellect or degree discipline. We have something for everyone and want as many people as possible to be part of an amazing community.
When you decide to join us, you will gain access to a range of engaging events and to a group of like-minded individuals. Come join us at our next event, we would love to share all that UoB Investment Society has to offer!
FITE2022
What Is FITE2022?
FITE2022 is a nationwide fundraiser from February 28th to March 18th in which our society and societies from across the country are raising money by walking/running/cycling for the mental health charity Student Minds. Our goal is to raise £2,000 for Student Minds and walk 15,000 kilometers.

How Can I Take Part?
To sign up, just head to fite2022.com and fill out the registration form. Then, between February 28th to March 18th, you’ll need to run/walk/cycle a distance that you choose to commit to. Whether, for example, you do one 10km run, or lots of 5km cycle rides in this time period, is entirely up to you. Walking counts too and you can even press start on your Strava app when you are going on a walk to campus or on a walk with your friends. It is very easy to get involved! - 28 Mar, 19:00 – 20:00Teaching and LearningInvesting 101 is a series we will be running throughout the year in some format. It is a chance to meet likeminded people, with similar interests and is aimed at everyone regardless of their level of investment knowledge. This should help to develop your knowledge of investment and finance.
